The Company, named Azienda Agricola Castiglione, was created as a spin-off from our family business, in order to supply fresh herbs all year round. With this aim the first little production of rosemary, on a 3,500 sqm extension, was launched in 2007.

This was the beginning of our challenge: to be able to meet the needs of our customers. Then, step by step, we started to supply vegetable wholesalers in Central and Northern Italy as well as supplying companies specialized in fresh herbs transformation and packaging.

Nowadays we are still under an expansion process, but we are cultivating a total surface of 25,000 sqm, we produce yearly 600 quintals of rosemary, more than 150.000 pots of fresh herbs and approximately 700.000 of rosemary nursery. Instead in Sardinia, on a 60.000 sqm surface, we produce mainly fresh cut rosemary and sage, but we are also experimenting new cultivations in order to meet the new market requests on fresh cut and bagged herbs. |

Thanks to the strategical position of Albenga, located in Western Liguria, near the border with France, and the great development of logistics and import-export business for plants, fresh flowers, as well as fruit and vegetables, we can rely on several shipping companies to reach any destination in Italy and abroad (France, Germany and Spain, among others).
This has helped us to grow and enabled us to send our fresh products almost everywhere. |
